The Power of the Mind
Our Mind is such that it follows the visions and thoughts it holds. Therefore if we think negative thoughts and hold negative visions, always focusing on problems and those things we don’t want, we will only get more of those. For example, if we see ourselves and think ourselves fat and unfit, constantly frustrated with our bodies, we are actually holding on to a negative vision. In order to change, we first need to change our thoughts, and visualize a positive outcome. For example, if you want to lose weight, you can begin by closing your eyes and imagine yourself your perfect body-shape and feel the happiness it brings to you. Also visualize yourself enjoying healthy eating and being active.
According to the laws of hypnotherapy the mind can only process the positive. Therefore, at Zenith, we visualize and meditate on positive outcomes, very much like elite athletes do their positive mental rehearsals, to maximize their outcomes. We use techniques of sports hypnotherapy, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and other forms of visualization to always opt for the choices which bring us closer to our own personal happiness.
With the same effort we train our Bodies, we also can train our Minds to work on our behalf, and no longer against us. Training the Mind follows the same principles: step by step we get out of our comfort zone, progress in steady steps, with regular training and intensity.
A Balanced Work-Out
We all are different, therefore to find the type of exercise which suits you the most is the key to keep up with it. Not everyone is keen to spend our at a gym, neither do we need to. At Zenith we present harmonious workouts: Exercises which train the heart, the blood vessels and the lungs (cardio-vascular exercises) are equally important to exercises which train muscle strength (body weight and resistance exercises), and we pay a lot of attention to balance and stretching. Exercises which push us out of our comfort zone and allow for progressive, challenging training are just as important as simple, gentle movements which allow us to enjoy our fitness, enjoy nature and life. We go outdoors and train in fields and forests as much as we can. The energy outdoors is great and we feel motivated and re-charged afterwards!
Sustainable Lifestyle Changes
Changes do not happen overnight. But if the mind is set, and if we live as if we already achieved our goals, our body will inevitably follow. The Zenith program consists of small, but significant life-style changes, which you can implement week by week, but which over a course of time, will amount to a great change.
