LITERATURE ON SYNCHRONICITY

Rather than a comprehensive list, this is a selection of books I found useful during my study into reincarnation, which I hope you will enjoy, too...

"Belief in reincarnation tends to show up whenever psychological
exercises are employed that are capable of penetrating into the deeper levels of consciousness where memories of our former lives are stored."

C G Jung: Synchronicity.
An Acausal Connecting Principle

An excellent, broad ranging overview about reincarnational research, which shows that whenever we tap deep into the human psyche, a memory of past lives and an inherent knowledge of our higher purpose becomes apparent.

This can be recommended as a first book on the topic.

Allan Combs & Mark Holland:
Synchronicity.
Science, Myth, and the Trickster

Another classic overview, which contains interesting historical gems as well as a body of evidence which suggests that "a rational man can, if he wants now, believe in reincarnation on the basis of evidence rather than simply on the basis of religious doctrine or cultural tradition."

"Genius is experience. Some seem to think that it is a gift or talent, but it is the fruit of long experience in many lives. Some are older souls than others, and so they know more."

(Henry Ford)

"I know who I am,
why I am here,
and where I am going,
and my one purpose is to help others discover the wonders of themselves."

(Hazel M. Denning,
contributor)

Winafred Blake Lucas et al.: Regression Therapy

Although this is a handbook for professionals (and constitutes the most comprehensive source about regression therapy currently out there), the two volumes can also be enjoyed by the seriously interested layperson, especially because it presents a rich collection of fascinating case studies.

Dean Radin: Entangled Minds.
Extrasensory Experience in Quantum Reality

An invaluable resource especially for those who want to discover their past lives (at least partially) on their own, and who want to understand how it all fits into their existential program.
With the help of this book you can learn how to use several techniques working on different fronts at the same time: you can create a whole life-style which is optimizing your recalls.

"Retrocognition is not a universal panacea.
The only possible panacea is evolution, and this can be obtained only step by step, and accelerated only through much work."

"Fate has to do with the end result not with the way leading to it. What is important is the completion of the learning process, not the amount of suffering that a person burdens himself with en route by continually refusing to learn."

Thorwald Dethlefsen:
Voices of other Lives

Better known in the German-speaking world, Dethlefsen has pioneered past life regressions by "removing hypnosis" as a form of induction. He realized that (hetero-)hypnosis gave control to the therapist instead of the client, and created more empowering - mainly visual - techniques instead.

Tulku Thondup:
Peaceful Death, Joyful Rebirth

A Tibetan Buddhist approach to our topic, which is especially interesting for our investigations, as the book contains cases of delogs (Tibetan cases of temporary death experiences), as well as the description of Buddhist efforts to create non-physical places which serve the evolution of consciousness  after death (so-called pure realms).

"My main goal is to present teachings that not only heal our pain and confusion about death and dying, but also help us realize the enlightened goal of ultimate peace and joy, not only for this life, but also for death and beyond."

"Beneath the waterline of our individual existences, we may be part of this endless consciousness, something I am tempted to call the Mind of God."

Jim Tucker: Return to Life

The investigation with children who spontaneously remember past lives, as conducted by Jim Tucker (and others like Erlendur Haraldsson, and previously Ian Stevenson), constitute so far the best evidence for reincarnation. Unlike in therapy, these cases arise in a young child's mind, who has no agenda and no preconceptions, yet delivers stunning and verifiable details.

Anne Jirsch: The Future is Yours

The power of past life regression becomes full, when coupled with techniques which helps us identify - and if necessary change - our future trends. This book offers techniques to do that, ultimately in order to find our "soul's purpose," the evolutionary-spiritual reason why we are having this particular life right now and what is our work in it.

"For us believing physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only an illusion, even if a stubborn one."

(Albert Einstein)

"We are here to learn from experiences that are designed to make us better co-creators of new and exciting realities within All That Is or God. Regardless of whether we believe in a prehistoric "fall from grace," or that this is a self-imposed experiment, it's clear that making choices and learning from their results is critical to our development..."

Chet Snow: Mass Dreams of the Future

An interesting social experiment into the collective unconscious regarding humanity's future: in the 1980's hundreds of subjects were progressed into future lives, the time period after 2100 A.D. Remarkable, practically all reports did fit into one out of three future scenarios...

Joel Whitton & Joe Fisher:
Life between Life

In Tibetan Buddhism it's called the Bardo: this mysterious realm we visit after an earthly life is finished and a new one begins. What happens in this in-between-lives period? Is it merely a dream-like projection of our consciousness or a place of its own where we meet guides, friends and perhaps prepare to our next stage of existence?
"Because the heartbeat of the soul is to be found in the interlife, there is every  reason to suppose that metaconsciousness can open the healing arts and other disciplines to deeper levels of understanding. Just to know that this other reality exists can be life changing in itself..."
