HypnoLanguages

German
Hungarian

In hypnotherapy, we are used to asking the question: How does the mind do it?

I asked myself: How does the mind do it, when it is successful in learning a foreign language?

Having grown up bilingual (Hungarian and German), as the daughter of a passionate language teacher, languages have always been part of my heritage. Perhaps it was natural, therefore, that as a hypnotherapist, I began to research how hypnosis could aid language acquisition.

The result was the development of language learning programmes for my two "Native" languages: Hungarian and German. The system is based on the two pillars of hypnotherapy: focused attention and relaxation. It builds the language step-by-step, to bypass the need of internal translation and uses a lot of visualisation in a state of meditative awareness.

The Principles of the HypnoLanguage System:

RELAXATION.

The brain works best in a relaxed state (producing slower, so-called Alpha brain waves). Hence, the hypnotic approach: visualization and relaxation techniques help the learner not just to learn better, but to feel better and overcome any internal barriers.

VISUALIZATION.
When we learn our first language, we link words to images and impressions. Here, we utilise the same principle, using pictures, sounds and even emotions to teach new material - just like a child would learn their native tongue.

THINK IN a NEW LANGUAGE.
By linking new words to images (and new grammar to words already learned), you bypass the need to constantly rely on your mother tongue. That will save your brain a lot of time and effort - you will learn to really think and speak in a new language.

MULTIMEDIA.
This system online online-based: you can learn in real-life lessons from the convenience of your home, office, or wherever you are in the world. Lessons include hypnotic visualisations, shared-screen presentations,  real-life videos, interactive exercises and (if you like) tests.

BRICK BY BRICK.
Here, we build your new language "brick by brick." Starting with the smallest building blocks of the language: sounds, moving on to words, simple sentences and dialogues; it all happens step by step, so that you never have to feel lost or overwhelmed.

REPETITION.
Studies show that you have to come across a newly learned word at least a hundred times before you can use it automatically and won't forget it again. We use a vocabulary system to ensure you recap at optimal intervals and retain them in long-term memory.
