Interactive Reading Program (A2-B1):

Jóholdat, Szíriusz kapitány!

When we are learning a new language, it's a special treat that we can feel like children again. We learn to see the world with new eyes again, we get to think differently, and to practice, we can read stories from childhood. When I was a teenager, I very much enjoyed the "Szíriusz kapitány" stories: a charming, yet exciting sci-fi series that involves a group of youngsters living on the 25th-century Moon.  Today, we may smile about the "retro" aspects (like no internet, mobile phones...) but the stories are great: joyfully "scientific" and fun. They can help you not only learn Hungarian but also put a smile on your face.

The original "Szíriusz kapitány" books were written by László Endre, and are still available in second-hand bookshops and online. Below, you can find a text simplified for language learners - yet, the story remains largely unchanged. There are also exercises for you to sharpen your knowledge. Please, enjoy.

- 1. fejezet: Születésnap a Holdon
- 2. fejezet: Csibész szimatot fog
- 3. fejezet: A keresés
- 1. fejezet: Gyakorlatok (Exercises)
