Project Phoenix Bird
It Started with the FireOn February 7, 2019 Little Viciente (LV) suffered a quite devastating fire which later became profound lesson in impermanence. It started a journey of revaluing, rethinking and exploring ways of life. Although post-traumatic stress made it difficult to close my eyes for many days to come - all I could see were flames - and visiting "ground zero" was painful, with time, a vision began to unfold.
|
Gradually, I received a message from the invisible world that there was a Phoenix trying to hatch from the ashes at LV. There was a lot of joy in this vision, and a sense that if I ever succeed in rebuilding LV, it would not merely be for myself but to share this place with fellow seakers who want to live an authentic life, dedicated to creative work, spiritual development, and the evolution of consciousness.
The 'I' space began to transform into a 'we' space! |

On my mind I saw the vision of a place that would be dedicated to fostering our talents and visions for the benefit of other humans and all living beings. While thinking about resurrection, I kept listening to an amazing rendition of "Starry, Starry Night" (about Vincent van Gogh and how he "took his life as lovers often do") by Lianne LaHavas. I began to think: What if van Gogh had a place and a network with such dedication. Would he still have died or would he perhaps have lived? What if our "inner van Gogh" (the most creative and magical part of us) needs such support?

Little Viciente as Soul Community |
If one dreams alone, it is only a dream, |
So, I began to understand that this is what Little Viciente shall become: a place where our innermost dreams and highest vibrations of our Self are supported - the artist in us, the visionary and the seeker, the wild woman and the natural man, and where everyone who hears about it and feels the calling can get in touch and contribute... Perhaps you are an artist who wants to come over for a weekend and paint the surrounding mountains, perhaps a writer would want to sit outdoors and work on a novel, perhaps a traveller seeking to find place with some friendly soul company...
We live in a world that can be hostile to the spiritual and artistic expressions of the Self, yet we can slowly and gradually change that by creating places that encourages the authentic manifestation of who we really are. A place that takes us away from the world of habit and lets us explore deeper what our lives on Earth are really about: a magical journey of consciousness..

As these ideas came to me, I could feel a new energy rising, so I plucked up the courage and went back to "ground zero." Slowly, I began to clear up the debris, where - to my utter surprise - found an old plastic bag. The fire had melted most plastic (even the shower cabin!), so it was a little miracle that this little bag was absolutely intact. It was even more miraculous that it had the word Phoenix on it! I took this as a clear sign that here the Phoenix from the ashes, wants to rise and give space to creativity and community.

Share the Dream
As a result, today, Little Viciente is alive again as a small, but powerful writer's, artist's spiritual retreat, as well as a community of like-minded souls. If you are reading this and feel drawn to this vision, please get in touch: feel free to send an email, and tell a little bit about yourself.
